moving characters between accounts
what do u guys think about being able to copy or move characters from one account to another, provided the accounts have the same campaign, and consent from both users(like an option in the character select screen)? Not sure if others would view this as a worth while addition, but some may enjoy it. Any thoughts?

/unsignage.
Basically GW is based on per character/per account, unlike WoW, which is based on per account and that is how WoW can have this type of system of moving and copying etc...this might make it having multiple accounts obsolete in GW which probably they wouldnt want since more accounts means more profit for them.
/nty for me.
@MithranArkanere: or "Character swappers" that would be nasty for GW. imo. lol

I'd personally like to see this, since I've been playing since the days of pre-online store and of course pre-buyable character slots. As such, I have two accounts, both of which have all three campaigns on them. I would have liked, back in the day, to have been able to buy simply more character slots, and I would very much like the ability to merge the accounts, even now, or move characters over.
Of course, as it has been stated, more accounts means more money for Anet, so they're not quite so likely to do this now. But at the same time, it's kind of past the point where they ought to be too worried about that in the first place.
As for ebay, they police ebay quite effectively, last I heard. I don't think that it would lead to an advance in that market of any sort. And there will always be people who try to do that anyway, regardless of everything else.
Personally I think it's a good idea to have characters transferrable or accounts able to be merged. You've got my support anyway!

The other problem with merging accounts is 2 things, first, storage is limited, which one goes poof? Second, I just hacked your account and then proceeded to merge it with mine, go buy a new game. Hacking sucks in that you tend to loose everything on the account, but that's recoverable, having some hack and then completely take over your account would be much worse.

the only reason i see this as useful, and i do understand people would sell chars, is that some peoples spuses (or girlfriend/boyfriend) have a char or two on someones account. if they were finally able to buy the game they could keep the char they have spent so much time on.
